Samit Chitre - Principle Dentist

GDC:100755

Dr Samit Chitre completed his BDS in 2003 in India and requalified in the U.K by passing a statutory International Qualifying Examination in 2005. He is a Member of the joint faculty of the General Dental Practitioner Royal College of Surgeons England. (MJDF RCS Eng) . He has a Diploma in postgraduate. Dental Studies from Bristol University (DPDS).
He has an interest in Implant Dentistry and has done a certificate course with CADE. The other areas which interest him are cosmetic dentistry smile design and General Dentistry.
In addition to dentistry, Dr Samit has studied modules of Public and Criminal law at the University of West England. He is a family man with a son and a wife who is a Physiotherapist.

Zita Lyen - Associate Dentist

GDC number: 84217

Zita completed her dental training in Budapest, Hungary in 2002 and has been practicing in the UK since 2005. She also has a Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, which she completed in 2020.

Her calm caring approach and gentle touch puts people at ease who are anxious about dental treatments. She believes in prevention and minimal invasive dentistry to prolong the life of teeth.

Her interests outside dentistry are travelling, hiking and gardening.



Dr Manoj Bhatia BDS, MSc (Imp Dent), MFGDP (RCS-UK) Stat Exam (UK)

Manoj has completed his initial dental education (BDS) in 2005 and his MSc (Implantology) in 2011. His work is exclusively limited to Implantology.
He is a registered dentist with the GDC (UK) and also a member of the international team of oral Implantologist and international congress of oral Implantologist.
Dr Bhatia's special interest is dental Implantology. He has completed his Diploma (2009) and Masters (2011) in the same from the University of Central Lancashire (Preston – UK). In addition, he has attended various courses nationally and internationally including the Masters course in Bone grafting and Sinus lift from the University of Bern (Switzerland). Dr Bhatia is one of only a few dental surgeons to hold a Master's of Science (MSc) in Implant dentistry. He has placed and restored many implants from the straightforward to more complex cases.
He is a Senior Clinical teacher (Implantology) and a Clinical Supervisor at the university of Central Lancashire.


Lesley Walkling - Dental Hygienist

GDC number: 4082

Lesley qualified in 1988 from R.A.D.C Aldershot and has worked as a dental hygienist ever since. 


Lesley enjoys Cycling, Swimming and Triathlon. Her favourite holiday destination is France and enjoyes eating olives and cheese. As a hygienist she likes working with people one to one.


Sarah Thompson - Dental nurse

GDC: 11766

Sarah qualified from Highbury College in 1997 (Qual National Certificate in Science DSA BTEC 1997). She takes a great deal of pride in the smooth running of the surgery and the high standards of cross infection control at Denmead Dental.
She has been a part of the practice for over 20 years. In this time she really enjoyed getting to know the patients. Its always her pleasure to see existing patients and welcome new ones. Sarah enjoys the positive effects of the treatment we provide from pain relief to the confidence of a new smile cosmetically.
For many years she has been part of the volleyball scene. In the past she played for national and local leagues. Now Sarah mainly plays in our summer tournaments with a fantastic fun team. She is a keen cook and likes to experiment with a wide range of cuisines, one of her favourites being thai food.


Rosie White - Dental Nurse

GDC: 285712

Rosie joined the practice in 2017 and later qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2019. Since qualifying she has also worked towards extending her duties and can competently take impressions and X-Rays for patients. 


Rosie enjoys working as part of a great team at Denmead Dental Practice and takes pride in working alongside them all.


In her spare time she enjoys being out competing with her horse, spending time with friends, family and her dog Nova.


Leah Martin - Receptionist

Leah joined the practice in 2003 and later qualified as a Dental Nurse from Highbury College in 2006. She likes all the aspects of her job, especially greeting patients and welcoming new patients. 
Her favourite hobby is reading, spending time with her family and walking her dog Denise. 


Darcey Lovegrove - Dental Nurse

Darcey Joined the practice in 2021 and alongisde Macey qualified as a Dental nurse in February 2023.

She enjoys spending time with her family and loves going for meals, her favourite food being Thai.
